Both a full and partial denture are essential for replacing missing teeth within the mouth. If you are missing all of your teeth or have severely advanced gum disease, a complete denture is best suited to your needs. However, if you still have a good majority of your own healthy teeth but are missing quite a few, a partial denture is a great alternative. Both a full and partial denture help to enhance your smile while improving oral functionality.

Likewise, it’s probably very difficult for you to chew and eat your favorite foods when you’re missing teeth. Who is a candidate for Dentures & Partials?
Dr. Letran can determine if you’re in need of either a full or partial denture with an exam. Patients who aren’t good candidate for implants or who have them placed will find these prosthetic appliances to be fitting for their smile. Because the denture is custom fitted just for you, it’ll look completely natural and realistic. Most dentures can last for up to seven years before showing signs of wear.
What happens during the procedure for Dentures & Partials?
If loose or severely decayed teeth need to be removed, we will often perform this procedure before fitting you with a new denture. You will then have impressions taken that are used to make the prosthesis for you. You’ll come back in for a second appointment to have the denture fitted. Adjustments are made to improve the fit and feel for the new appliance. You can expect to need a few adjustments before the denture feels perfect. You should remove your new appliance each night to clean it of any residual bacteria and plaque.
